Cooking Matters: The Family Kitchen

We had so much fun last week's Cooking Matters El Paso County class! The first of three classes for Greccio residents was held at The Ridge Clubhouse where we learned some cooking basics, chopping skills, and how to make delicious mini pizzas. Our residents and their kids who attended were able to learn some new skills, make dinner together, and leave with a bag full of groceries to recreate the meal at home. The instructor and her team of volunteers did an amazing job of making everyone feel welcome and included and the kids in attendance had a blast!
We still have two more opportunities to join in the fun! July 21st: Hack Your Snack July 28th: Nutrition on a Budget

This is a wonderful initiative! Cooking is such an essential life skill that combines creativity with logical timing. As a developer, I truly believe that fueling our bodies with healthy meals is the first step toward a sharp, focused mind. At minigame, we focus on the other side of that coin—providing free educational logic challenges that help families keep their minds active and resilient. Healthy food and healthy thinking go hand in hand. Thank you, Greccio Housing, for supporting our community's well-being!
